EMDR & Trauma Therapy for Women
So much of what women carry gets minimized — by others and by ourselves. EMDR and trauma-informed care offer a way to set it down. Here’s what that can look like.
The weight women are told to carry quietly
Body image and comparison. The mental load of holding everything together. Old relationships that chipped away at your sense of self. The aftermath of abuse. So much of what women carry gets brushed off as “normal stress” — until it isn’t, and it’s running the show.
You don’t have to earn the right to get help by being in crisis. What you’re carrying is real, and it’s allowed to matter.
How EMDR helps here
A lot of women “know” they’re competent and worthy, but their body hasn’t caught up — it still braces, shrinks, or apologizes. EMDR helps reprocess the experiences that installed those beliefs so they lose their grip, and you can move through the world as yourself instead of the version that learned to stay small.
A special heart for abuse recovery
